Amir Cup: Al Wakrah stun Al Rayyan; Al Arabi win

Al Wakrah displayed a strong show to stun the newly-crowned Qatar Basketball League champions Al Rayyan 87-70 in their opening Group 2 match of the Amir Cup at Al Gharafa Sports Club yesterday.

In other Group 2 match yesterday Al Arabi defeated Qatar Sports Club 95-84 to start their campaign in the tournament on a winning note. Defending champions Al Sadd will take on Al Khor while Al Ahli will meet Al Shamal in Group 1 tomorrow when the tournament will resume after a day’s break.
