Doha: The Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani today honoured winners of the first GCC award of excellence.
The Emir praised their efforts and what they did to enhance the role of the GCC states and expressed pleasure in honouring the GCC citizens. He hoped that such events will be held annually.
On the occasion, GCC Secretary-General Dr Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani expressed his appreciation for the Emir and the GCC leaders for this initiative.
He also thanked the Emir for presiding over the celebration, which reflected his keenness to care for supporting any GCC effort aimed to enhance GCC cohesion and solidarity.
