Doha, Qatar: Minister of Education and Higher Education HE Lolwah bint Rashid bin Mohammed Al Khater, accompanied by HE Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) Philippe Lazzarini,on Monday visited the Palestinian School in Doha.
HE the Minister inspected the school environment and the services provided to students at all levels, and in their various age groups and educational stages, including students who were recently evacuated to receive treatment in the State of Qatar.
Her Excellency listened to a detailed explanation from the students about their academic and life concerns, interests, and future aspirations, and was reassured about the progress of the educational process at the school.
HE the Minister's visit, accompanied by the UN official, came as an expression of the State of Qatar's firm commitment to providing quality education to all children studying in its schools, as a basic human right, so that no child is left behind.
At the end of the visit, HE the Minister and the Commissioner-General of UNRWA planted an olive tree in the courtyard of the Palestinian school, in the presence of students, teaching and administrative staff, expressing their desire to establish peace and give students hope to return to school in Palestine.
